Editing with the new Create Entries page
We pushed out editing of your own entries using the new page with this code push. Please bang on it and let us know if you run into any issues specifically when editing an existing entry.
Known issues:
- Admin editing of community entries still goes to the old view (this is deliberate, because we have something else lined up for admins)
- Title still says "create entries".

Any ETA on that feature?

2. I have my entries default to Access-Only; when I use the new edit page I can't change it to 'Public.' It still has a minimum security of Access-Only. At first I thought it had already been fixed and then I remembered the two different edit pages.

I just noticed that the edit entry page doesn't have a page title - neither in the old site scheme coding or the new s2 one

Could either the Display Date default be "Use the time when entry is posted" or, if that's not possible/popular, could the user's last choice be used next time as well? I find it really annoying to always have to change the tick-box here (uh well, first world problems and all that ^^), and it seems to be a rather simple thing to fix, as far as I can tell.

The behavior of the +/- button doesn't seem to be quite consistent - sometimes when the panels automatically collapsed as described above the "-" would remain, although when clicked, it toggled the open state as you would expect for one in a collapsed state, even though the button itself was displaying incorrectly. I can't seem to repeat this now but I know I saw it being in the opposite state to what I would expect for the state of the panel.

Does the new create/edit entries page have the ability to cross-post to other sites (yet)? Because it isn't doing that for me, and doesn't even seem to have the option to, and I don't know if that's the beta's fault or my fault or what. Sorry and thanks!

Saving edits
I'd edited an entry and I was on the 'Success: journal entry was edited' page. I closed my browser (Maxthon 2.5.18) before leaving that page and when I reopened my browser again, the page was back to the open edit page. The new content was saved there, just, the page/box was open. Usually on Maxthon, it sends me here. This doesn't happen on Firefox.

Poll error: lj-pq tags of type 'text' cannot have poll items in them.
Just that since the tag isn't actually lj-pq anymore, maybe that text ought to be updated. (A fiddly thing that totally doesn't matter and isn't even really an issue, but I thought you'd like to know anyway!)

New Create page doesn't like OpenID?

Awesome and very impressive, both in terms of features/usability AND in treating your users like they are actual people that matter. This may sound melodramatic, but after logging in to my account after ranting on LJ about LJ's latest idiocy, this almost made me cry, seriously. Thank you.

When I typed a tag in, the tags box got taller and taller (vertically bigger, extending down off my visible space) as I typed each letter. The pick-list of tags got shorter with each letter as fewer matched, but it also started further down the screen as the box extended.
For example, in retesting, I start and it is about 1.5 or 2 characters high, counting "buffer" space above/below the cursor. I type a 't' and it becomes about 3-5 times that high. I type an e and it's even bigger. I select "technology positive" and it puts it in and goes back to being about as tall as it was at the beginning, plus one line for a new tag.
AHA! Just tried it again and ctrl-shift-tabbed to get back to where I am writing this comment - it appears to expand by about one line per keydown and key-up, including the ctrl, shift, alt, and even Windows keys. It sizes back down only when a tag is chosen - and if I accept the tag by tabbing, it adds a couple lines for that key after applying the tag.
It does not react to key activity as long as focus is not in that one box, and it does not react to mouse activity (so I can paste in text and the box does not grow).
This is in Chrome Version 25.0.1364.172 m - it looks like that's out of date, so I will hopefully try updating. However, it's now past my kids' bedtime, so that will be tomorrow at the earliest.

White box eats entry page in Safari 6
Using Safari 6.0.4 (8536.29.13)/OS X 10.8.3 with a number of extensions. Which I've just turned off (not yet reboot) and it still happens.
The correct page draws. But the moment I move the cursor (not into a text area, just movement) an empty white rectangle overlaps almost all of the entry items (20 px visible on left and top side). On reload it shows the correct page, cursor twiddle, boom white rectangle. Doesn't show in Chrome or Firefox, so probably Safari related.
Problem is that I'm unwell and can't chase a bug right now. Just wanted to let you know; will track post; if i get saner enough to do troubleshooting, will report.

The "Preview" button doesn't work at all. When I click on the "Spellcheck" button next to it, I get a preview of my post in a new tab.
The "Post" button works fine.

When I create entries on my journal I tend to use HTML (so I don't end up with borked coding as RTE is wont to do),and it's my default setting, but when cross-posting, I tend to like to copy what I'm cross-posting and past what I'm going to post in RTE as it's easier and quicker. But with the Beta comment page, there seems to be no option for that unless one goes into their account settings put RTE (or HTML if one is switching to that from RTE) as default and then back again. Or manually put in the HTML code if your default is HTML in order to crosspost.
I just think it would be easier to just be able to switch from one to the other from the comment pages itself.

Where should I make the comment that all those boxes are NEVER going to work for me (complete with an explanation as to why)?
